Indian representation in top global universities miniscule: Amartya Sen

Economist and Nobel laureate, Amartya Sen said that though India has established reputation in academia, yet it's representation in the global group of top 200 universities is miniscule. Addressing a gathering in New Delhi, Sen said world's top 200 universities have an insignificant representation from Asian countries Recently Times Higher education magazine released a report according to which none of the Indian universities could make into the list of World's top 200 universities. Even the celebrated IITs and IIMs failed to figure in that list.
