The two days' defence secretary level talks between Pakistan and India on Siachen, which were held at the ministry of defence in the garrison city of Rawalpindi ended on a positive note with both sides deciding to make "serious, sustained and result oriented efforts for seeking an amicable resolution of Siachen." Meanwhile, Union defence secretary, Shashikant Sharma said that he was very satisfied with the way the talks had turned out.
