Jammu and Kashmir government has initiated self-earning schemes in collaboration with a local non-governmental organization for the victims of militancy. Various vocational courses are now being taught across the state for the welfare of women who have lost their family members in the insurgency. Rabiya Baji, who runs a knitting center, says she began it with the aim of giving employment to poor women who have been affected by militancy.
