Jairam assures safety measures for Jaitapur nuclear project

Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh, on Tuesday promised additional safeguards to be put in place before giving an environmental clearance to the Jaitapur Nuclear project in Maharashtra. On the sidelines of a conference 'Conclave on Business and Climate Change' in New Delhi, Ramesh also said that the government would closely look into the safety systems and designing details of the project.
