Jairam explains land acquisition draft bill to Mamata

Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh met West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee on Saturday, to explain the proposed draft Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Bill. Giving the details of the meeting, Ramesh said that he explained all the technicalities of the Bill to Banerjee and is hoping for a positive response. Jairam also said as of now the West Bengal chief appears to be in sympathy with the approach of the bill.
