People from a number of villages joined a protest march against bootlegging in India's eastern Jharkhand state recently. Carrying swords, sticks, axe, bows and arrows, people from around 20 villages protested against illicit liquor sale in Seraikela district. At least 40 deaths have been attributed to consumption of hooch. Families get shattered as the male earning members spend all their money on liquor, making life miserable for women and children.
