The Maharashtra government has ordered a probe into the massive fire that broke out at the Mantralaya office in Mumbai on Thursday killing 3 people and injuring many others and gutting the offices of chief minister Prithviraj Chavan, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar, the Chief Secretary and several other ministers. However, the Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan said that all Urban Development Ministry files have been scanned and so there was no loss. Meanwhile, chief Fire official, SV Joshi also said that it is difficult to tell the reason of the outbreak at such an early stage. The Maharashtra cabinet is scheduled to meet today to discuss the loss caused by the fire.
