Nalini shifted from Vellore to Chennai prison

In a sudden move, Nalini Sriharan, the assassin of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, was shifted to the high-security Puzhal prison, located in the suburbs of Chennai on Monday. The 44 year old was shifted to Puzhal prison amid high security from the Tamil Nadu's Vellore Women's Jail. Sriharan's counsel maintained that she had taken back all charges against the Vellore jail authorities due to improved conditions, and that they were surprised at the decision.
