NSA meets Karunanidhi, discusses Sri Lankan Tamils issue

India's new National Security Advisor Shiv Shankar Menon on Sunday discussed the issue of Sri Lankan Tamils with Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu M Karunanidhi. After meeting Karunanidhi in Chennai, the new NSA said India is working with the Sri Lankan government for resettlement and rehabilitation of displaced Tamils and devolution of power in the island nation. On Karunanidhi's concern over Indian fishermen being harassed by Sri Lanka Navy, Menon said New Delhi would pursue the matter.
