Ochirakali – a martial arts festival of Kerala

As they warm up with their bamboo batons, it seems they are getting ready for a big fight. Nothing like it - they are getting ready for Ochirakali - a famous festival of martial arts held at the Parabrahmam Temple in Kollam district. The festival held in June traces its beginnings to a battle fought here between two princely states and is held annually to commemorate the event.
