'Orissa govt involved in mining scam'

The state unit of Congress party in Orissa has accused the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) ruled government of plundering the state's mineral wealth to the tune of over rupees three thousand billions. Naba Kishore Das, General Secretary of Orissa Pradesh Congress Committee at a news conference in New Delhi on Thursday accused the Naveen Patnaik government in the state of being involved in multi-crore mining scam in collusion with the "mining mafia" and demanded a CBI probe into the matter.
