Patnaik’s transfer not a sudden move, part of procedure: RR Patil

Maharashtra home minister RR Patil has claimed that promoting the much intimidated Mumbai police commissioner Arup Patnaik as director general of police would boost the overall morale of the personnel in the uniformed services. Patnaik was severely criticised by several regional and national parties for his handling of violent incidents that occurred in the city on August 11.
