Bringing the curtains down on the political drama in the state, Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan on Saturday accepted the resignation of deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar. The resignation has also been accepted by Governor K Sankarnarayanan. Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief and Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar had on Friday asked Chavan to accept Ajit Pawar's resignation and directed 19 other ministers to resume office.
