Punjab spreads the message of 'save girl child'

Thousands of saplings were handed over to women devotees at a function at the city of Amritsar to spread the message of 'save girl child' recently. Based on the theme Nanhi Chaunh this ingenious scheme aims to spread sensitivity towards the girl child and environment as well. This scheme is a joint initiative of the Punjab Government, Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee and the pharmaceutical giant Ranabaxy and Impact Group of companies.
