Ramesh now stresses on need to preserve rivers in India

After bringing down tempers by his comment on the Bt Brinjal issue, environment Minister Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday also stressed on the need to preserve rivers in India. He said this at the Yamuna- Ganga meeting in New Delhi that was also attended by other officials from Ministry of forest and environment. He further said that any new projects on Bhagirathi River would not be allowed.
