Rise in inflation due to macro-economic imbalance: Montek

Deputy chairman of the planning commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia on Friday said that inflation was a consequence of macro-economic imbalance. Reacting on the steep price hike in diesel, Ahluwalia further said that the hike was one of the many tough decisions that the government needed to take in order to revive the growth process.
