SC stays execution of Sushil Sharma

Supreme Court on Monday stayed the death sentence of Sushil Sharma, convicted in the infamous 1995 tandoor murder case. Admitting Sharma's plea, the apex bench comprising of Justices SB Sinha and Markandey Katju referred the case to a larger bench of three judges for further hearing. In 2006, the Delhi High Court had sentenced him to death for killing his wife Naina Sahni.
