NCP chief Sharad Pawar has pulled up party leader and former Lok Sabha speaker PA Sangma for projecting himself as a Presidential candidate. Having being summoned for a meeting by Pawar at his residence in New Delhi, Sangama was asked not to advertise his name as a possible candidate for the post of the president as the party does not have sufficient number to back their candidate. Speaking to mediapersons after the meeting, NCP general secretary Devi Prasad Tripathi cleared the party's stance by saying that as coalition partners in the UPA, the party would support any candidate proposed by the Congress.
