Killing at least fourteen people and injuring several others, a Bangalore-bound Hampi Express has crashed into a goods train at Penneconda in Andhra Pradesh early on Tuesday. Three bogies, one sleeper class coach and two second-class coaches of the Express train have been derailed due to the collision. One of the coaches was engulfed in flames. The railway minister, Mukul Roy, who is in Kolkata, has rushed to the spot.The railway minister has announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of those who have been killed in the accident and 1 lakh to those who are critically injured.
