The autonomous district of Karbi Anglong in Assam becomes the first tribal district to earn ISO or international organisation of standardization certification in governance and welfare oriented administration. Karbi Anglong despite facing a surge in militancy became the fourth district in the country to get the ISO 9001-2000 Certification.
