UP Village council ostracize families of married couple

A village council in Ghaziabad area of Uttar Pradesh is forcing into exile the families of a couple for marrying within the same gotra,or ancestral lineage. The couple, who were residents of Sikandarpur Kakori village, eloped,a year and a half ago, but recently they have come to the notice of the village council, which insists that the decision to expel the couple's families is correct.
