Violence in Nandigram

Two people were injured in fresh clashes in Nandigram on Monday, which witnessed violence throughout last year, over land acquistion for an industrial hub. Cadres of the main ruling Communist Party of India and the opposition Trinamool Congress clashed in the run up to the village council elections, slated for May 11.
