Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar has said his government will block a proposed MOL–Naftogaz project to build petroleum-product storage facilities in Hungary for Ukraine, calling it a security threat. The facilities were intended to add fuel reserves near Ukraine but outside the range of Russian strikes. The dispute comes as Budapest seeks a U.S. extension to an exemption protecting its continued Russian oil and gas imports from potential new tariffs, arguing that it needs time to reduce dependence on Moscow.
