Macron dials Putin for 1st time in 3 years after Russia’s snub to Trump, makes this appeal on war

French President Emmanuel Macron and Russian President Vladimir Putin held their first phone call in nearly three years, discussing the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, as well as Iran’s nuclear program. Macron urged Putin to accept a Ukraine ceasefire while Putin blamed Western policies for the Ukraine conflict and insisted any peace deal must be “comprehensive and long-term.”
