After Centre, 13 states cut fuel prices, making petrol & diesel more cheap

In some more relief to consumers, 13 state governments have reduced petrol and diesel prices, in addition to Centre's Excise Duty cut on Diwali occasion. Of the 13 states that reduced fuel prices, 10 are ruled by Bhartiya Janata Party and the rest by non-BJP parties. However states like Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, all ruled by opposition, did not give any additional cut in fuel prices. The Centre on Wednesday had urged the states to cut VAT on fuel to give relief to consumers amid record-high price of petrol and diesel in the country. Watch this report for more.
