A reality TV show host Raghav Juyal faced flak over his alleged ‘racist’ remark during a show against a contestant from northeast. Raghav faced outrage for allegedly ‘mocking’ the contestant from Guwahati, Assam. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma called Juyal’s remarks “shameful” and asserted that racism has no place in the country. The short clip of the reality TV show went viral on social media. The TV host later issued clarification and apologized to “anyone whose sentiments were hurt”. Watch the full video for more details.
