Covid: India's 3rd wave by August-end, peak in October 2021, say IIT researchers

India is likely to witness third wave of coronavirus by August end, researchers at IIT Hyderabad and Kanpur have predicted. The researchers have predicted that October will see the peak of third wave when daily cases could rise upto 150,000 a day. The possible third wave is however likely to be less brutal than second wave when India's daily case count reached 4 lakh. At present, India's daily case count is plateaued around 40,000 with Kerala alone reporting average 20,000 cases.
