Hindus save burning ‘taziya’ amid Muharram procession near Udaipur tailor's home

Hindu families residing near murdered Udaipur tailor Kanhaiya Lal's home and shop have set an example of communal harmony. They averted a major accident during a Muharram procession after a fire broke out on a 'taziya'. The incident happened when the top of a 25-feet high 'taziya' caught fire while passing through Mochiwada street in Udaipur. The Muslims participating in the procession did not notice the fire, however, the people who were witnessing the march from their balconies noticed it. According to the police, Ashish Chowadia, Rajkumar Solanki and their family members immediately started pouring water on the structure till the flames were doused.
