India warned against links between Taliban, Al-Qaeda & UN-designated groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba & Jaish-e-Mohammed. India said the links have heightened concerns that Afghanistan may become a safe haven for terrorist organisations. India’s permanet representative to the UN, TS Tirumurti, said that Southeast Asia has witnessed a string of terror attacks since mid-2018. “Terrorist threat to countries in South and Southeast Asia remains high. Since their defeat in the Middle East, Islamic State and al-Qaeda have been seeking to establish a foothold in South and Southeast Asia,” said Tirumurti. Watch the full video for more.
