Narayan Rane ‘was eating when cops came’, says BJP; How Modi's Cabinet Minister

Cabinet Minister Narayan Rane was arrested by Ratnagiri police on August 24 over his remarks on Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddav Thackeray. The minister was reportedly eating when cops arrived to arrest him. Rane claimed that Uddhav forgot the year of independence during his 15 August address. The union minister’s comment sparked row with reports of clashes and stone-pelting coming in from across Maharashtra on Tuesday. Three FIRs were filed against Rane.
