NSA Doval assures action over Prophet insult after Iran FM raises issue

Iran FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian raised the issue of prophet insult with NSA Ajit Doval during their meeting last evening. Iran foreign ministry statement said that FM Hossein Amir-Abdollahian spoke about the “negative atmosphere” created by the remarks of some people, a reference to axed bjp leaders Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. In response, the statement quoted doval as reiterating that Indian government and officials respect the Prophet & that NSA noted the people involved in the incident “will be dealt with at the level of the government and related agencies in a way that is a lesson to others”.
