PM Modi announces 2070 target for India at COP26 climate meet in Glasgow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced India’s target for 2070. PM Modi said India was working hard on tackling climate change-related issues. The Indian Prime Minister said India would achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2070. PM spelt out the five “amrit tatva” from India during his speech at the UN’s COP26 summit. PM said India will take its non-fossil energy capacity to 500 gigawatts by 2030. PM Modi said India will complete 50% of energy requirements by renewable energy by 2030.
