Putin defeats West's sanctions; Russia amasses whopping $80 BN in foreign assets - report

According to Bloomberg, Russia was able to save abroad about a third of the $227 billion windfall earned last year from its commodity exports. From this about $80 billion has been reportedly scattered across holdings of cash, real estate as well investments in affiliates abroad. This helped sustain Kremlin’s finances despite western sanctions amid Ukraine war.
