RBI junks report claiming Gandhi's image on Indian notes will be replaced

The Reserve Bank of India has refuted media claims of replacing Mahatma Gandhi's picture with other prominent Indians such as Rabindranath Tagore and APJ Abdul Kalam on currency notes. Reports claimed that RBI was considering replacing Gandhi's image on certain denominations. The RBI has issued a clarification saying that there is no such proposal. RBI's statement came after a report on June 5 said that samples are being sent to IIT Professor for final consideration. Watch this video to know more.
