Telegram appears to remain partially inaccessible for some users in India even after the government's temporary restrictions linked to the NEET-UG re-examination officially ended on June 22. While some users reported that the messaging platform became operational again on June 23, others continued to face issues sending and receiving messages. Telegram was also temporarily unavailable on Google and Apple app stores before reappearing on Google Play Store. The Centre had ordered Telegram to be blocked nationwide from June 16 to June 22 under Section 69A of the Information Technology Act as part of efforts to prevent irregularities ahead of the June 21 NEET-UG re-exam. Authorities had also directed the platform to disable its message-editing feature until June 30.
