Fresh cracks appear in houses of another town in Uttarakhand amid panic due to land subsidence in Joshimath. More than 50 houses developed major cracks in Karnaprayag in Chamoli district. Most of the residents have left their homes, fearing a disaster. Karnaprayag is just 80 km away from Joshimath, and residents blame heavy construction by NTPC for land subsidence. However, the NTPC denied any link between its construction activities and cracks in Uttarakhand towns.
