The Election Commission of India announced election dates for four states and one Union Territory on February 26. West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala are going to polls. Bengal has the longest poll schedule, stretched over 8 phases from March 27 to April 29. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Puducherry will vote in a single phase on April 6.
