After the raids at Twitter’s office, the social media giant came out with a statement slamming the Delhi Police. Twitter alleged intimidation over toolkit row and hit out at the new I.T. rules. The micro-blogging website deemed the new rules a potential threat to freedom of expression. Twitter also expressed concerns for its employees in India. Delhi Police responded to Twitter’s statement and called it mendacious and designed to impede lawful enquiry. On 24 May, Twitter’s office in Gurugram was allegedly searched by the Delhi Police in connection with Congress ‘toolkit’ row. Watch this video for more details.
