On cam: Zelensky's 'death wish' for Putin in Christmas address as US-led peace talks mark progress

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the nation on Christmas Eve, urging unity as Russia’s full scale invasion enters its fourth year. He said Christmas reflects Ukrainian identity, family and faith despite war, loss and displacement. Zelenskyy condemned Russian missile and drone attacks carried out on the holiday and said Russia cannot destroy Ukraine’s spirit or traditions. He said Ukrainians share one unspoken wish that their enemy perish, while openly praying for peace, justice and an end to the war. Zelenskyy called for prayers for frontline troops, prisoners of war and fallen soldiers, saying Ukraine’s strength lies in unity, resilience and hope for a peaceful future.
