‘People Burned Alive’: Israel Bombs Rafah ‘Safe Zone’ After ICJ Order, 40 Dead; IDF Defends Attack

Around 40 Palestinians have been killed in reported Israeli strikes on a camp for displaced civilians in Rafah. The attack took place in the Tal Al-Sultan area in Rafah and most of the victims were women and children, Wafa News Agency reported. Israel claimed it targeted a Hamas compound and killed two senior leaders including the militant group’s West Bank commander. The Israeli attack took place after the world court ordered the IDF to “immediately halt” its military operations in Rafah.
