Putin Aide Corners Trump Over 'Nuclear Testing Resumption' Order After US Blames Russia, China

Kremlin spokesperson Dmitri Peskov on Tuesday responded to recent comments by the U.S. president about nuclear testing, saying Russia and China have not resumed any nuclear tests. Speaking in Moscow, Peskov emphasized that both countries “urge all nations to remain committed to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT).” He added that Moscow is unsure what the U.S. president was referring to, urging journalists to “ask Washington for clarification.” His remarks come amid rising global tensions over nuclear security and renewed international scrutiny of arms control commitments between major powers.
