Putin's win near Bakhmut hits Zelensky's pride; Ukraine's Donbas Commander fired | Details

Bakhmut, the longest-running battle of Russia’s invasion, has truly turned into a big political and symbolic prize in the Ukraine war. Any setback around Bakhmut seems to be a blow to the warring nations' pride. Proving the theory "right," the Ukrainian president has sacked his top commander. The top military general, Eduard Moskalyov, who has been fired, was leading the fight in the east as commander of the joint forces of Ukraine. The Ukrainian President, Volodymyr Zelensky, did not give any reasons but announced the dismissal of Eduard Moskalyov in a one-line decree. The sudden sacking comes after Russian President Vladimir Putin's troops "captured" a third town near strategic Bakhmut amid intense fighting.
