‘Outstanding’: Shami; families of Siraj, Sundar react to India’s historic win

Family members of Indian cricketers rejoiced after India beat Australia in the 4th test to complete a historic series win. This is the first time Australia lost a test at Gabba since 1988. Washington Sundar’s family celebrated the team’s victory at their home in Chennai. “He (Washington Sundar) prepared well, which made him perform beautifully in test match. It's going to be about 6 months now since he's been out for tournaments. We're going to spend quality time together when he comes back,” said Washington’s sister, Shailaja Sundar. Mohammed Siraj’s brother hailed Siraj’s ‘outstanding’ performance. “Our mother played a key role in helping him (Mohammed Siraj) overcome our father's death. His performance was outstanding and it is a proud moment for all our family members,” said Mohammed Ismail. Cheteshwar Pujara’s father was also elated with the team’s performance. Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami also praised the team for their performance. Watch the full video for more.
