about the video

Electing to bat first, South Africa had a good start even as their captain departed for 73 in the first Test at the MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai. Skipper Smith and McKenzie struck fifties to spur the tourists to 109 without loss at lunch after they had won the toss and elected to bat. Both batsmen attacked pacemen RP Singh and S Sreesanth and continued untroubled after skipper Anil Kumble brought himself on with fellow spinner Harbhajan Singh to get a breakthrough.
