Sunil Chhetri overtakes Messi, behind Ronaldo in list of active goal scorers

India’s football captain Sunil Chhetri is now second on the list of active goal scorers in the game after he surpassed the Argentinian star Lionel Messi. Chhetri now stands behind Portugal international Cristiano Ronaldo in the illustrious list. With two goals in the match against Bangladesh, Chhetri took his total international goals tally to 74, surpassing Messi who has 72 goals for Argentina in his career so far. UAE's Ali Mabkhout is third on the list having scored 73 goals. All India Football Federation President Praful Patel congratulated Chhetri for becoming the second-highest active international goal scorer. Watch the full video for all the details.
