U.S. Helpless In Red Sea? Rescues Crew Four Days After Houthi Attack; One Mariner Still Missing

The US Naval Forces Central Command (NAVCENT) conducted a daredevil rescue operation in the Red Sea on June 15 amid continued attacks by the Houthi rebels. The US Navy rescued 24 sailors from the Liberian-flagged, Greek-owned bulk carrier M/V Tutor that was attacked by Houthis on June 12. The Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group airlifted the crew out, but one sailor still remains missing. Meanwhile, the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) said on June 16 that a vessel 40 nautical miles south of al Mukha in Yemen had reported two explosions nearby. Watch
