Military rulers in Niger have ordered the armed forces to be on maximum alert. Niger's coup leaders cited an increased threat of attack to justify the decision. This comes as West African Bloc ECOWAS has threatened to send troops into Niger. An internal document issued by Niger's Defence Chief was widely shared on social media.
