After Panjshir offensive, now Iran rejects Taliban govt as ‘not inclusive’

Old rivals Iran and Taliban are once again at loggerheads as the Islamic Republic has virtually rejected the hardline Islamist group's interim government as 'not inclusive'. Iran has said that the new Taliban government is against its expectations and the expectations of the international community. The latest Iranian criticism of Taliban has come days after it condemned the Islamist group's offensive in Panjshir and had also raised concern at the alleged interference of Pakistan military. Over the years, Iran and Taliban had developed close ties after turbulent relations of the 90s.
