Iraq: Baghdad clashes end; Sri Lanka rerun as Sadr loyalists storm Pres palace

Several videos from now called off deadly clashes in Iraq's capital Baghdad are going viral on social media, with netizens likening the situation to the collapse of Rajapaksa government in Sri Lanka earlier this year. Photos and videos were circulated online showing demonstrators cooling down in the pool, after they broke into the Green Zone and stormed the Republican Palace, amid violent protests after Iraqi Shi'ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr announced he was quitting politics on Monday. Meanwhile, Iraq PM has also threatened to quit after 48-hour deadly clashes between Sadr loyalists and Iraq's security forces. Watch this video for more details.
