The UN peacekeeping force rejected the Israeli request for relocation amid the IDF's 'limited' ground invasion of southern Lebanon. The mission, in a statement, said that "On September 30, the IDF notified UNIFIL of their intention to undertake limited ground incursions into Lebanon and requested us to relocate from some of our positions." The UNIFIL, however, said “peacekeepers remain in all positions, and the UN flag continues to fly.” Meanwhile, Israeli military spokesperson Daniel Hagari said UNIFIL failed to enforce the resolution that prohibits the presence of armed militants and weapons in southern Lebanon.
